You can find great people and great architecture all year in and around Baltimore Avenue. You can find jazz playing and community gardens blooming during the summer. But, you can only find it all in one spot and at three times its actual size if you’re gazing at the newest University City mural. Entitled “Cedar Park” and framed by a tile mosaic called “Tons of Tiles,” Baltimore Avenue’s second Karl Yoder mural (his first celebrates the Philly streetcar at 45th and Baltimore) has transformed the corner of 50th and Baltimore Avenue. 150 students from the Delphi School (who created the tiles) helped UCD, Cedar Park neighbors, The City of Philadelphia’ s Mural Arts Program, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and many others dedicate the mural.
